Founded between 2013 and 2015 in Cologne, Germany, Homelike officially launched in the DACH market (Germany, Austria & Switzerland) in 2015, listing nearly 1,000 properties on its platform.
At the time, few OTAs (Online Travel Agencies) offered medium to long-term stays. In response to this demand, the Homelike team initially worked offline, partnering with agencies, companies, and individuals looking for accommodation for several weeks or months. Rental durations range from 1 month to 1 year.

How does Homelike work?
Like all booking platforms, Homelike is very easy to use. Simply enter your destination, the desired dates of your stay, and the number of guests.
For property managers, using Homelike for mid-term bookings is quite advantageous. The first month’s rent is guaranteed once the payment is made through the online payment system.
Let’s say a client wants to book a property for 3 months using the Homelike and RentalReady integration. Homelike will collect the first month’s rent and transfer the amount to the property manager or owner, minus Homelike’s 12% commission. The manager or owner will then handle the payments for the remaining months. Alternatively, Homelike can manage the entire rental payment process.
Payments are processed instantly via Stripe.
